In many countries, including the United States, liability insurance is required by law for commercial drone pilots as a part of their licensing requirements. Failure to have proper insurance coverage can result in fines or even the suspension of a pilot’s license. While the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 107 rules do not specifically require licensed drone pilots to carry insurance, it is strongly recommended by the FAA.
